URGENT HELP NEEDED Since yesterday morning(5th Feb) I have been unable to send or receive e-mails. When sending I get the following message: "Sending of the message failed. Peer's Certificate has been revoked. The Configuration related to must be corrected."

A pop- up also started to ask for my password.

Why is this all of a sudden happening and how can it be fixed?

I am using Thunderbird version 128.7.0esr on Windows 11 Pro. I moved my Mail folder (and sub-folders) on my local drive. I re-directed each of 4 email accounts to their new sub-folder. The emails are downloading from the email host's POP3 server. New email messages are not visible in any of the inboxes. The counter shows the number increasing when messages are downloading. Global search does not find the new emails. The new emails show when I right click on any of the inboxes and select "Search Messages" (From/Contains."@"). I tried manually removing the Inbox.msf from one account, but did not fix when I restarted. I tried the Repair Folder button (right click Properties on Inbox folder), but did not fix. I know the emails are on my computer, but I cannot get to them without the very cumbersome "search messages" function. Suggestions?

Is there a way to make a filter, or is there an add-on, that will automatically delete attachments from emails once the email has been sent? I want this to happen as I send the email. Note: I don't want the email to be deleted.

Filtaquila will allow me to detach the attachment to a specified folder, but I want the attachment to be deleted. Both AttachmentExtractor and AttachmentExtractor Continued are no longer available.

Am running Thunderbird version 115.18.0, on Mac OS 10.12.6.

I have used Thunderbird for a number of years without issue. Recently added an email account to it. That account will sync for a time then stops. This seems to be a pc only issue. I am stumped as to why only this account would be having this issue. Is there a limit to the number of accounts that will work?

I have set up gmail in pop3 so that it will download gmail messages to thunderbird. In my folders list I have Gmail acccount with inbox folder and also my other email account ***@i....com with inbox folder. I also have gmail set up to receive my other regular email as well as gmail messages. In thunderbird the ***@i....com emails are being downloaded to both inboxes. I used to get only the gmail messages into the gmail inbox and the other messages in the other local folders inbox. Not sure what to do. I want only the gmail messages coming to the gmail inbox in thunderbird.

This suggestion is for something that goes beyond typos. I am aware that Thunderbird only highlights typos.

Auto-correct would be a great addition to the Thunderbird UI. It might be useful in other Mozilla products. Yes, it should fix word typos, ("steve" corrected to "Steve"). MORE GENERALLY than that, it would be very helpful if it corrected a string to a text block.

1. Enter long proper names quickly consistently

   "usaidd" corrects to "United States Agency for International Development (USAID)"
   "nytt" corrects to "New York Times"

2. Enter symbols without knowing the hocus pocus

   "(c)" to "©"  and em-dash, Registered Mark, ...

3. Add boilerplate quickly and easily

   "mycpyr" to "Copyright 2025 ©..."

Allow users to maintain the auto-correct list. There are too many trades and professions to manage it centrally. It might be good to pre-populate it with a few common, illustrative entries as examples such as typographic symbols (save user's time) and an copyright template (creative commons?).

I am trying to set up for a friend the Thunderbird email client for his BT internet account but am encountering problems.

When using the BT recommended settings: POP3 settings Incoming Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com Port: 995 SSL Encryption: SSL/TLS Username: email address xxxxxxxx@btinternet.com Password: btinternet password SMTP settings Outgoing Mail Server: mail.btinternet.com Port: 465 SSL Encryption: SSL/TLS Authentication: btinternet password Username: email address xxxxxxxx@btinternet.com Password: your btinternet password

I receive the message “Unable to login in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password.

However if I change the POP connection security to “None”. All is well.

Can somebody please advise.

Hello, We have problem with sending and receiving e-mails. Sometimes Thunderbird just stops receiving e-mails. We can send messages but they can be saved only in local folder. In browser e-mails arrive and we can send them without any problems so it has to be some problem with Thunderbird. We were trying a lot of solutions, but only one works - creating new profile. It is very time-consuming solution, because we have to copy all e-mails, contacts, user settings, etc and we have to create a new profile couple times in a month... We were trying to off our antyvirus, forget password, etc. Probably there is some problem with certificates, but we do not know how to fix it. We use IMAP. Let me know what we can do to solve this problem, because creating new profiles is too tiring... :(

So I have two accounts on my Thunderbird, business Microsoft Exchange and then a personal G-Mail account. Recently I have been having certain e-mails not being able to send through Microsoft Exchange. I have OWL support for both of them to work correctly. It is usually an e-mail over 8mb of attachments or some time it has been an e-mail with a lot of wording in the body, like lots of replies I have had to delete most of the info in the body to get it to send. If I send it through my G-Mail account it goes no problem. The Message it gives me is "Sending of the Message failed. The server had an internal error. This is always a problem of the server and not of you or your application." I tried to go online through office.com to send it that way, and it worked. My internet guy thinks it is Thunderbird but doesn't use it and really doesn't know anything about Thunderbird. Most of my guys that work on my business computers don't know anything about Thunderbird. My office manager has Thunderbird and is not having this problem. I am not the best with internet or mail configurations. This is getting frustrating. I am hoping someone know what the problem is and it is an easy fix. Please let me know if you have any ideas, I don't like outlook and some of the other apps for mail. I am used to Thunderbird and don't really want to learn a new one.

I have been trying for 2 days to do:

1. Move the Thunderbird data base to E-drive from c as there is no space on C. I allow thunderbird to install - no option for data base location and it puts it on c-drive my default. I then copy all the files to e-drive and then it wants to re-install again. Same PC.

2. I cannot get mailstore to convert pst as the Outlook function in Thurnderbird does not or I cannot get it to work.

I am complete novice and this is all to complex. I live in remote place in Austrialian out back
