I have tried everything, from resetting Firefox, to cleaning the browser, and nothing is working. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you review these names, are they ones that you have corresponded with in your email site (Yahoo?), or ones that you have entered into other forms (other than email)? If you can deduce the source, that should help in turning it off.

What mail site are you using?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail", such as Yahoo Mail as Jefferson asked about.

Or is your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird? If it is one of us can move this thread into the Thunderbird questions queue.

I'm using yahoo through Firefox. So what you're telling me is NOBODY has a clue of what's wrong.

When I use Yahoo, it only shows suggestions from my small number of contacts, and doesn't automatically list any of the senders.

So I definitely do not have a clue why you are seeing those.

Do you have any Yahoo add-ons that might be adding new features to the site? I would check particularly for extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions.

The extensions does nothing, and has nothing to do with the email.

Time to take this to Yahoo support, I think.
