pictures don't display in e-mail
I have selected View>Original Message Body As>Original HTML . . .
but an icon in the e-mail suggests that a picture image has been blocked or deleted in my Thunderbird.

It could be remote content blocking. That is the default behaviour.
I can't locate: the notification bar -- in order to choose to show remote content. Any ideas -- anyone?
What version of Thunderbird?
