Why do I keep getting this error just lately with Thunderbird, then at some random time all the emails come through........Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server mail.talktalk.net responded: Internal login failure. Refer to server log for more information.

This is an issue with the mail server, not Thunderbird. You need to contact talktalk.net support.
