Hello. Since yesterday Firefox keeps deleting my browsing history after system shut down although it's set to remember my history. My bookmarks are fine and I don't have a Mozilla profile. What can I do to make it stop auto deleting the history? First time in years I encounter this problem.

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

I have ASC installed but "Surfing Protection" is disabled. Also, regarding my problem, I reinstalled Firefox (deleted ALL folders) and the problem persists. Actually, when I open Firefox after a system restart, when I drop-down the search bar, only a few bookmarked sites appear (that's the problem I'm having), but when I type a site, it appears there, meaning that the history isn't deleted, only the top sites in my search bar.
