Get permission to download files to SD card
How do I complete the process needed to download files to my SD card using Firefox?
I followed the procedures here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1012963 "How can I change the default save location to SD?" and everything seemed to go smoothly.
However, now when I try to download a file, Firefox says:
Download Error
"/storage/external_SD/[folder name]/[filename] could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.
Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location."

Hi Name1234
Some questions to help us help you:
- What version of Android OS are you using (Kitkat 4.4, Jellybean 4.1-3, Lollipop 5) and what model of phone or tablet? Is your phone or tablet rooted?
- The procedure at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1012963 may only work for those with rooted phones or tablets but I don't recommend it. It's error prone and not supported by Mozilla. Instead I recommend using the built-in Android file manager to move the downloaded files to the SD card.
- If the above doesn't help, please let us know what you did exactly, what happened and what you expected
Cheers!
