Why do I get messages that say firefox has unexpectedly quit when it really has not quit?

it states that it is going to send a message to Mozilla saying that it quit. At the bottom there are two options: quit firefox or restart firefox. It also says the report will be sent without my doing anything. This has been happening for a week. I don't have to reboot or restart; I just continue on. I close Firefox and then reopen it right away. It is actually quite a large box popping up. Has anyone else had this problem?
