Every time I try and send an email the following error occurs:

An error occured while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.1 <unkown[120.236.250.38]>: Client host rejected: Access denied. Please check the message recipient x@xyz.com.au and try again.

(insert email recipient that I was sending the email to above in x@xyz.com.au)

Computer OS: Mac OS X Yosmite 10.10.2 Thunderbird version: 31.4.0

This has occurred no matter whether I am working from home or overseas. I have two other computers set up at home (laptop and desktop) that doe not display this message when sending email, only my new macbook air is having this issue.

Any assistance would be hugely appreciated.

This usually means that you have been blocked for spamming, and that your IP address is on a blacklist. Or that the mail the server you use for relaying has a poor email reputation, and the recipients mail server rejects messages. In any case, this has got nothing to do with Thunderbird. You should talk to your email provider.
