Why did all my downloads disappear?

I have been downloading attachments from my aol e-mail account for months now.

All of a sudden they have all gone. Any Ideas please

Hi Glebe, Did you empty your downloads folder or is there an automatic clearing of that folder that Windows has a settings for?

If they are not listed in the tab about:downloads, it is possible that the files are still there, they are just not listed in Firefox.
