I create a new list in Address Book in Collected Addresses. I put in the E-Mail addresses for that list. I close address book. I close down Thunderbird. When I open Thunderbird the next time, the list is gone. Vanished. Any clues as to why this is happening ?

Failure to store changes usually indicates a damaged or corrupt address book file. Export your CA address book to LDIF. Locate your Thunderbird profile, close Thunderbird, delete history.mab. Open Thunderbird, import your LDIF file. This will create a new address book, and you can move is contents to where you want them.

I would never use CA this way. I see it as the dustbag which collects all and everything and like a dustbag, works best if emptied regularly. Create a new address book for addresses that you want to keep.

I followed your instructions and that process of steps worked.

Thank you for fielding my question.

I really appreciate your help.

I will post more questions in the future when I get stumped on something.

Thanks again !
