Do I need to disable sync on a PC before resetting/refreshing Firefox

I need to reset Firefox on a PC because it appears to have something corrupted. How do I reset it without affecting the other PCs that are synced with it?

After reset will reconnecting Sync restore all the extensions that resetting/refreshing will remove?
