Google Talk for Thunderbird, is working but the interface of messaging window has shrunk, to a very small box. Cannot type in it. The Chat works. But the interface is screwed up. Other people can chat with me and message me, but its very irritating to reply, in a small closed box.

You should be able to grab the horizontal divider and drag it upwards to enlarge the text entry box.
Tried that bro long back... doesnt work i can slide it horizontally. But cannot change the size. The damn thing is stuck. And i am using this as my main mail solution. :( Please Please Help
I am disturbed by the lack of any frames in your image. Mine has distinct borders complete with "grippies" indicating their movability.
Do you have any themes in use that might be affecting the styling of the display?
