For months now It seems like very often after restarting Firefox some change has been made to its appearance. For example about a week ago after restarting there was noticeably greater space in between my bookmarks toolbar and the address bar. Also, the "Hello" add-on (or whatever it is) is now like 5x bigger. As I said this kind of thing has happened many times before that. I finally decided to try to stop these changes from happening automatically so I disabled updates. But just now I restarted and the font of the tabs has changed. I checked the update history and there haven't been any updates for over a week. Is there some setting I can toggle to make Firefox stop automatically changing stuff on restart? I'm using version 42.0 on Windows 8.

OK, seriously, Firefox just crashed and now after restarting, when I highlight something in the address bar it's a much lighter blue than before. Is this some kind of dictatorship or something? My browser isn't Mozilla's property. What right do they have to keep making these obnoxious changes without even asking?

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it and select Submit.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

Type about:support in the address bar and press Enter. Under the main banner, press the button; Copy Text To Clipboard.. Then in the reply box at the bottom of this page, do a right click in the box and select Paste. This will show us your system details. No Personal Information Is Collected.

I'm sorry, maybe I'm not properly explaining what's going on. There isn't any kind of malfunction here. As far as I can tell, these updates are supposed to be happening. Are you saying that these changes are the result of some kind of error, rather than an intentional update? Am I the only one who's experiencing these changes? All I want to know is how to stop them from downloading updates whenever they feel like. I don't see how crash reports are relevant to that.
