Can't see embedded videos or tweets
So I've noticed on some sites that any embedded videos or tweets will not load. They show up for a second then completely disappear. I've updated my gpu driver, and also flash and cleared my cache and disabled ad-block, all of which did not work.

Firefox 42+ has a Tracking Protection feature that is enabled by default in Private Browsing mode. When you are in private browsing mode then Firefox can show a shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar that some content is affected.
You can disable this feature in "Options/Preferences > Privacy" or via the about:privatebrowsing page that get when you open a New Private Window.
- Options/Preferences > Privacy: "Use Tracking Protection in Private Windows"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: 3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
It still has the same issue in safe mode. If I click the binoculars on the left side of the address bar the videos will appear as a black box then disappear again.
Did you try Firefox Safe Mode?
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps.
safe mode does not work. if it helps this just started happening when I updated to windows 10
An example would be this Page. http://blackflag.jalopnik.com/pirelli-world-challenge-rolling-start-ends-in-big-crash-1763190288
There should be a video embedded in the article but instead all I get is this. And it is the same for any other video or link, including google calendars from my school
