Global option to select "correspondents" or "from"/"to"?
I use many folders (>50). For most of them I want to see both the "from" and "to" columns. In version 45 all my "from"/"to" columns have been changed – without warning or agreement – to "correspondents"! I now have to change manually the columns of all these folders... Therefore, could you please add ASAP a global option to choose between "correspondents" and "from"/"to"?

Thanks, in fact a whole account can be selected, so its solves my issue.
Anyway, I still think that users should be warned and asked to agree before applying such "improvement".

I haven't yet had to upgrade to 45 (I'm dreading it, from all the posts about it here). But in 45, and in earlier versions, you can instantly apply the column layout from one folder to any other folder and all its children: just right-click on the header bar of the folder and select the option at the bottom. It's not a global option I know, but it's a lot quicker than doing each folder manually!

I thoroughly agree. I have just had to work through all my 'parent' folders to reverse this backward step. Definitely NOT an improvement in my opinion, and PLEASE do not make it mandatory in future upgrades.

1) amanchesterman, thanks for the post, but, I don't get it. What is the "header bar"? 2) thunderbird support folks, I appreciate all the hard work you do, but this one is particularly annoying, I want to see "From", like I did before upgrading to 45. Correspondents is noise. Can you provide a global default option for folder columns?
