TB 45 double click or enter no longer opens email how to restore this behavior
Inbox message pane, double clicking on mail subject line no longer opens the mail. Same with using enter key. It is now necessary to right click and select an open message option or use a toolbar button.
This is very inconvenient behavior and I would like to restore.

Have you tried closing Thunderbird and restarting it in safe mode?

Have you tried closing Thunderbird and restarting it in safe mode?
I did and it worked. The problem was the Maximize Message Pane add-on. I don't know if it is just a setting in the add-on or nor, but disabling it restores the double click.
