I am switching from Windows 7 to Mac and need to migrate 10 years of thunderbird emails, how?

more options

I have to years of email in local folders that I access daily for all sorts of infiltration. These folders are my work archive. I would like to move from windows7-based PC to a Mac, but will not do it if I am not 100% confident that those files are coming with me and will be as easy to access. Thanks!

If the mail is in Local Folders, then it's in your profile. Instructions for moving a profile are here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb There's further information here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Move_to_a_new_PC If you can, get your new Mac set up and running with Thunderbird before you delete the messages from the old PC.
