Connecting to some sites that I KNOW have video on them (including a few pages that exist only to show a webinar) only load a blank space where the video should be--not even a frame. Seems to be no rhyme nor reason as to which pages load video and which ones don't (YouTube-hosted videos make both lists). None of my download pulg-ins recognize any videos present on these pages. This has been going on since Firefox 46.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.

Go to the web page. Once the page is loading, mouse to the address bar and Left click the icon. Select Permissions. In the menu, Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow.

This is a YouTube video that is played via the HTML5 media player.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure such extensions do not block content. There is security software that can interfere with loading content, so check that as well.

I should mention I've tried disabling Adblock on the problem pages to no effect, and if I try to make a report of Adblock being overaggressive, it swears it's not blocking anything. (screencap with Adblocker disabled for site)

And if I can, I will always have my add-ons set to "ask to activate"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?
