I've installed firefox on my Mac - but it blocks access to Yahoo, Avast, Duck Duck Go and even Mozilla saying they are unsafe sites. Why is this?
I've just installed Firefox on my Mac - but when I try to use it to access some of my favourites (Yahoo, Duck Duck Go - even Mozilla itself(!) it says it won't connect as they are unsafely configured. Why is this?

No problems here (Firefox on El Capitan). Is this a new installation? Maybe there is some other security software installed on your mac that is getting in the way.
We'll need some more info about your Firefox setup. Go to Help > Troubleshooting Information then click Copy text to Clipboard. Open a reply to this post, and go to Edit > Paste to paste the info from your Troubleshooting Information page.

Thanks so much Chris - I have just bought my Mac and am busy setting it up - so I loaded Firefox on the first day. I have loaded Avast also - would that be causing the problem?
