Why does it keeps saying "not responding" over and over again it tales forever to read all my emails
I click on email "not responding" and I wait, next one "not responding" it take forever to read my emails.

Probably because you have anti-virus software taking over and scanning whatever you are opening or downloading. So try accessing the AV software and stopping/making exempt from scanning thunderbird folders upon starting and also scanning incoming and outgoing mail.
