Black background in menu drop down menus, Firefox 53.0.2 and Windows 10
I have already updated to the latest version of Firefox, which was the best suggested solution I could find. I am using Ad Blocker and New Tab Homepage add ons. This happens in multiple (but not all) drop downs.

Are you possibly using an inverted High Contrast theme in your operating system?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

My browser was set to the default appearance scheme. I set it to Compact Light. Maybe that will help. thank you!
