If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

TB is my Email Client. Cox Cable is my ISP. I normally contact Cox at cox.com which is a secure site. But a tech at Cox suggested I use cox.net instead. Trying that in both Firefox and Explorer puts in the URL line, "myconnection.cox.net," but the security lock is crossed out. I will take this anomaly up with Cox. Thank you both for trying to help.
Hmm, maybe he didn't give you the entire address, or it's only secure for IMAP/SMTP connections, and not web browsing?
This could indicate that mixed content is present on the page.
You should see messages about this in the Web Console. Best is to hide CSS errors in the console.
You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.
Thanks for the input, but understanding what to do with it is beyond my pay grade, or at least my understanding.

I think before using Refresh or re-installing, it's worth hearing what the ISP says is the expected behavior.
Thank you for trying to help, but I don't have the time to implement your suggestions. To me FF is a tool, not an avocation.
