deleting history in drop down menus
How does one clear, and or delete just one line, in a drop down menu on a webpage?
In "options", under "history", in "remember form and form history"...
..one can only have this on or off, so the history in a drop down menu is either there, or it isn't..
..one used to be able to highlight it, then hit delete and thus be able to remove it from the drop down list..
..huge pain in the ass that this cannot be down now as I don't want to have to search thru months of drop down history, but I need the more recent one to be able to search with..
..FRUSTRATED!!

You can use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop-down list:
- click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
- highlight an entry in the drop-down list with cursor Down key
do not click the mouse or press the Enter key - press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to delete the highlighted entry
Note that hovering with the mouse no longer works.

Support volunteers appreciate your gratitude. Regarding that second part -- assuming you're not referring to the reply you got here -- you can give suggestions on potential features changes in future versions of Firefox using any combination of the following channels:

Yes, sorry, should have been more clear about that. The help was excellent and awesome as always. Thanks again for that!!
..as for the second part..
..merely making an off the cuff comment on which ever person who wrote the code to change something that was simply enough to do, and just made it not so simple to do..
..just because one can change it, doen't mean it should be changed. Keep it simple method should be applied..
