Firefox Quantum freezes and locks up computer when task manager is opened
I first want to say hello to everyone since this is my first time posting on here. In addition, I hope that by bringing the issue I'm experiencing to light, it gets resolved and everyone experiencing this issue can go back to enjoying Firefox Quantum. Anyways, the issue I'm experiencing is basically what the title says. I go to open task manager in Windows 10 while having Firefox Quantum opened and my entire computer freezes up and locks up. The only way I can get out of this frozen state my computer goes in is to either, force restart my computer, or wait it out. I attached a video that better demonstrates this issue. I also want to mention that in the video I attached you see me open multiple tabs to demonstrate the issue, however, the issue happens even with a single tab opened, and even if the tab is fully loaded. If anyone has a solution please let me know, or if this is an issue within Firefox itself I hope that developers take a look and hopefully fix it in the the next update. Lastly I want to add that this issue only happens within Firefox every other application works fine. I also notice that when this happens Firefox cracks up my CPU to near 100% and uses and incredible amount of RAM.

uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.4 with a Full Version Installer Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
I tried all these and nothing fixed my issue. I decided to re-install windows and as I was setting up my computer back up I noticed that I didn't have the issue anymore. However, then I installed my antivirus Webroot and lo and behold the issue came back. I guess there's some issue with Webroot and Firefox. I decided to uninstall Webroot from my computer and everything is working fine now.

Please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.
Monitor in Task Manager. Should stay below 2 gigs. If excessive then do below and monitor and change if need to...Test and go up again , go back down, it will eventually get a zone you and it can live with.
Go to the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.
Note : Hardware Acceleration is for Video Card, Monitor to see if remain off or to turn back on.
