i can't access adobe flash and need to be able to use webcam

I need to complete an online interview, and the website on with can't access my webcam or microphone. I have downloaded the latest version of firefox and the latest version of adobe flash. when i click on the icon with the three horizontal lines, then i click on add-ons, then i go to plug-ins, and the third listing says shockwave flash. at the top of "shockwave flash" it says in red "shockwave is known to be vulnerable and should be updated." and then next to it, it says "update now" and even though i have already updated it, i click on the link, and it takes me to a page that says "blocked add-ons" and it explains why it's been blocked but won't tell me how to unblock it. please help.

Your Firefox reported having version 11, which is quite ancient now. Could you:

  • Open the about:plugins page by typing or pasting about:plugins into the address bar and pressing Enter
  • Find the ancient Flash plugin, and the full path to the file on disk should be listed.
  • Find and delete the file.
  • Then if you do not also see Flash 28 on the about:plugins page, check here:

C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash => NPSWF64_28_0_0_137.dll
