Just downloaded Thunderbird on my computer. Logged in with my server email and it worked (works great) but I accidentally klicked on "Get Messages" up in the left corner. I have gott many thousands of emails there on my server which now will be downloaded to my thunderbird email program. I would like to stop it, anyone who knows how to do that? That means stop "Get messages".

Thanks in advance

If you do not want your emails, why install a mail client. It has to get them to show them to you. I suppose that is a long way round telling you there is no stop.

Thank you yes I think it was a long answer, but no worries;-). I have noticed a frequency in people sharing their answers by asking people why they wanted to download Thunderbird at all if they don't want all their old emails, even though this wasn't the questions asked. Thing is, my webmail is slow and high demanding in handling & managin my emails. And for me who are, and this is the main reason, currently in China, it can take for ever and ever managin my webmail, with or without vpn. There are also features that exist in Outlook and Thunderbird that does not exist in a web based ones. I guess I could perhaps come up with more reasons, but it is certainly not to, as in my case right now, download around 15000 emails that I could be without. But again, my mistake and I could come with a number of worse things to face:-) I'll handle it. Thanks anyway.
