First I must tell you, even if it's not politically correct, then your support should be revised ASAP. The browser is awesome and I'm using it from its beginning (!), unfortunately your support is another story.. I've spent more then 5 hours of tryouts, before deciding to contact you here.

Suddenly I can't listen to online radio sites. (YouTube works fine). On Google Chrome any radio site works fine, so why not on the latest Firefox (59.03)?

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}

It was a good start. In Safe Mode It worked, but didn't solve the problem because after restarting Firefox in Normal Mode, it has stopped working again.

Turn off your all extensions in Normal Mode and restart the browser, then check the radio.

It was one of my first experiments to disable all extentions and add-ons.. Still not working.

Oopsy, Sorry to mislead you, It's not working in safe mode either (It was a commercial that made me think wrong)

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Would you care to explain that, please  ?

Nothing said meant to offend anyone personally. My apologizes if anyone did.

It's just my subjective general opinion only about the help efforts that are offered by Mozilla for the browser.

Something is very wrong with the help/support for Firefox. The browser itself is excellent and the best for me by far. But, if a problem occurred like this one , and it happens once in few years, there is no substantial specific help to get you out of it.

Well as said before, in normal mode of the computer, Google Chrome browser works with radio site just fine.

Your comments were directed at the support forum in general - well, each and everyone of us contributors are part of that support forum. Contributors here are (except for the odd administrator) volunteers, users just like you, who are trying to help other users in their spare time. Firefox is a free browser, and Mozilla (the company that makes Firefox) doesn't have the financial means to maintain a call center.

Speaking for myself only : Comments like these doesn't exactly entice me to try and find a solution for the poster in question .....

Now that I got that off my chest :

Have you updated Firefox to the latest version yet (which is 60.0)  ?

Does that make a difference  ?

If not : Have you tried FredMcD's last suggestion (Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox)  ?

And one more question : Could you provide a link to these radio stations please  ?

Dear Contributors, First I must apologize again. I was sure that Mozilla is running this forum with some administrators in charge and I didn't know it's entirely based on volunteers.

I've updated to the last version and there was a minor change: there was voice for 2-3 seconds and then it stopped. Also I've tried FredMcD's suggestion (Started Computer in safe mode with network support. Then started Firefox safe mode). No sound. To remind you Chrome works in same computer with no problem.

Last, here's a sample link you required: http://onlineradiobox.com/sg/class95/?cs=sg.class95&played=1

Absolutely no need to apologize - this must be very frustrating for you and you needed to let off steam. And it was just I who 'had a go at you' ......

Thank you for that link - I'm quite enjoying some of those stations since I tried that link (needless to say that I have no problem listening to those stations, using Firefox .... )

Question is : how to get those radio stations to play for you, using Firefox  ?

The first sentence in FredMcD's first post is :

"Make sure you are not blocking content."

Probably a rhetorical question, but are you sure you don't have any extensions that can block content  ?

I haven't been able to find out whether those stations use Flash or not (which I have enabled, and updated) - just in case : Do you have Shockwave Flash set to 'Always Activate'  ?

If that's not it, then I can only hope that somebody else will come to your
rescue  !

Hi again, Nice to see you're enjoying that online radio link.

I Do have Shockwave Flash and set to 'Always Activate'. Not helping me. Yet.

When you've mention blocking data.. I noticed now that on the last row of the online radio site page, in the corner, and very small letters, there's a rapidly changing 2 messages. One is saying something about "transferring data.." and immediately after "Waiting for..." it changes so quick I can't read it. May be that fingers on the problem?

Those messages you'll see lots of times - are merely informing you what the browser is doing (status).

You block content with add-ons like Adblock Plus, NoScript, Ghostery,
uBlock Origin - do you use any of those  ?

I use only Adblock Plus for years.

Which you have of course disabled on those sites .....

In all honesty : I have no idea what could be causing this problem for you, and once again I can only hope that someone else will come to your rescue (so sorry .....)
