problem is moving saved logins and passwords from win 7 to win 10 i have good copies of key3 and logins.json from win 7 i got them via about:support so they are the right ones from the right folder then to test i refreshed firefox on win 7 and restored key3 and logins so i am pretty sure the files are good

on win 10 i used about:support to get the right folder closed firefox and copied the win 7 files opened firefox no saved logins were found. refreshed win 10 firefox closed firefox and copied the files again reopened win 10 friefox and still no saved logins -- what am i missing what else can i do? rob

HI, am not to helpful with this but :

  • logins.json (passwords) and key4.db (58+) or key3.db (57 and older) (decryption key) for Passwords saved in the Password Manager
  • if you only have key3.db then make sure to remove an existing key4.db
  • cert9.db (58+) or cert8.db (57 and older) for (intermediate) certificates stored in the Certificate Manager
  • if you only have cert8.db then make sure to remove an existing cert9.db
