WHY is email stopped on Windstream
My email service @ windstream.net stopped after my last service ticket for SLOW internet speed. The tech called me, checked my lines, allegedly, and said I was getting 25mps but it surely seems slow. then my email stopped. Getting 404 type errors when looking for sites, not found, using BING on Firefox. NO clue from the idiots at windstream. But considering that they have overcharged me for connection for six months, not too surprising. Still...

I have read this a couple of times and see nothing related to a question about Thunderbird. Sounds like you meant to post this to the Wind stream feedback site.
It was intended for MOZILLIA but Windstream Tech made some changes that fixed the issue. Seems the settings on Moz/ email got changed by sources UNKNOWN. I do get some phishing spams and Trojans that get by my security.
Mozilla does not develop Thunderbird anymore FYI. The mostly volunteer Thunderbird council does. Mozilla provides this forum space and some money management and that is about all.
