I printed out some documents using Firefox and several of my documents had a very weird message in them that I am trying to understand.
Hello, I printed out several documents using Firefox and was surprised to see the following message scattered throughout several of my documents:
"Can you trust your perceptions? You chose this... a reminder of the forces at work in your world. If you no longer wish to peer through the looking glass, you can return to blissful ignorance."
I assume this may be part of the Firefox Looking Glass/Mr. Robot Add-On, but I want to make sure I am right and that this never happens again.

You do have a Looking Glass extension listed in the browser data you shared, but it's a version that doesn't match up with the data I have for that extension. I only see a version 1.0.4 from Dec. 15, 2017 and 1.0.3 from Dec. 12, 2017. So it's more than a bit odd that you have this extension.
As a first step, can you disable it on the Add-ons page? Either:
- Command+Shift+a (Windows: Ctrl+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.
Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions Firefox installs for built-in features are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. If you have Looking Glass here, please disable it.
Next, it would be great if you could investigate where it's loading from. It's a bit arcane, so I'll start a new reply for that part.
Actually, cancel the arcane investigation post. There is a version 1.0.5 on the Add-ons site. This version was not issued as its own study, but a study version might have auto-updated to it if it wasn't disabled:
