is there a way to stop location by isp/ip address, websites seem to think I am up to 20 or 30 miles from where I am (not a mobile device, ordinary desktop pc)

I've told the pc my location address, with no effect. I do know the gps coordinates of where I am but don't see anyplace to input it. it seems most sites work off gps-device input (like a smartphone) or ip address of the isp which does not fit the reality of where I am. I've seen this as a common complaint in windows10 etc.

Hi Lupine, is this affecting the quality of the information sites display? Unless a site specifically builds a feature to request your precise location from Firefox, they either rely on your IP address -- which you can't block, because then you wouldn't get any pages page -- or offer an option to enter a zip code, select a city, etc.
