how can I give a given website permission to use my microphone?

more options

Hi,

I'm trying to use Babel through Firefox. It requires access to my mic. Clicking on the drop down menu on the address bar seems to indicate that permission is "allowed temporarily", however, the website is not detecting any input. I checked in the system settings of my laptop and I have the internal microphone selected, and within those settings, I can see that it is detecting sound.

When I view Permissions > Microphone > Settings..., it shows a dialogue box "the following websites have requested access to your microphone..." However, there are no websites populating that list.

Is there something I'm missing here?

Thanks,

Will

Is Firefox showing a little microphone icon or floating microphone cancel button? If not, it sounds as though the site didn't successfully turn on the microphone.

Can other sites turn on the microphone, for example, this one that came up in a search: https://www.onlinemictest.com/
