How is Thunderbird Version Control implmented?
I hate to sound rude, but does Thunderbird Version control involve a random number generator?
I very stupidly upgraded 'to the latest version' and now I went to find a critical add-on, only to find that the add-on works for versions Works with Thunderbird 17.0a1 - 42.0 Works with Thunderbird 45.0 - 63.0 Works with Thunderbird 60.0 - 60.* Works with Thunderbird 60.0 - 64.0 and the latest version: Works with Thunderbird 68.0
But it doesn't work with the latest version: 60.9.1
At some point .... 68 has to be a greater number than 60, doesn't it? So why am I on the latest version 60 and not the latest version 68?

Autoupdate from TB 60 to 68 will be deployed when various issues have been sorted out. TB 60.9.1 is the latest on the 60 branch, while 68.2.2 is the latest on the 68 branch. 'Latest' is not the same as 'newest'.
Which add-on do you have that works with 68 but not 60?
manual folder sort -- every version of the software has a red-slash next to it and the installer refuses to install it.
Use v. 1.2.1 with TB 60, or v. 2.0.2 for TB 68.

Drag the Download Now button from Firefox and drop it onto Tools/Add-ons/Extensions in TB.
