Update to v78
Watch out if you run Kaspersky Internet Security. It auto-updates Thunderbird 68 to v 78. I have lost 12+ years of emails and archives. It is urgent that Mozilla creates a backup option on the file menu. It is far too complicated for ordinary people to do it.

You have already posted information regarding this only four minutes ago.
I have made a response in that other question which offers advise to check on whether you have just got a new profile displaying and just need to reselect the original profile, so you may have not lost anything.
