I get a digest of Twitter links. I used to be able to click on a link and it would go to my Twitter bookmark on Firefox. Now, since the latest update (why do I keep installing them?), I get THIS message (see attached file):

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thx

Lee

In Thunderbird 78* 1. Menu app icon > Options/Preferences > General Scroll down to the bottom and click on "Config Editor" button Select "I Accept The Risk".

2. In search type: warn-e locate: network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https

Assuming the Twitter links are all https:// 3. If network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https is set to false right click on it, and select "Toggle", so that the value shows "true". Close 'about:config' window X Exit Thunderbird allow a little time for background process to complete.

4 Restart Thunderbird

5. Click on the https://twitter link that you were emailed in Thunderbird.

6. A dialogue box will appear asking you to select the app. Select "Choose another application", and select the "Choose" button. Locate firefox.exe on your computer. On Windows OS 64bit, it is here: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe If you're running the 32 bit edition of Firefox, the file location might be found under C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

Or locate whatever is the default browser on your computer.

select the executable file eg: firefox.exe

6. Check the box for "Remember my choice for https links". Click "Open Link" and Firefox should then launch your twitter link.

7. Finally, Repeat steps 1 to 4, except this time change network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https back to false in step 3.
