moved existing Thunderbird profile to another MacBook Pro

Hello, I've been using Mozille prods for several decades. Tried to move existing Thunderbird profile to newer MacBook Pro, followed instruction on "Moving Thunderbird Data to a New Computer". The new Thunderbird on the newer computer does not seem to connect with the Profile folder, opens the "Account Setup" page. Thanks.

I just wrote all this out for windows. it is basically the same for a mac https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1361770
