I have completely lost my emails on Thunderbird. Was trying to make account sync with AOL. Please help.

IF your account was IMAP, then that is probably to be expected.

If you account was POP and you deleted it as their disgraceful instructions suggest, you have deleted them.

So I guess we should start with exactly what you did. Did you delete the account?
