Font for mailbox too small on big screen
There were two good articles on making the fontsize big enough for me to read as I look at the Inbox to read the Subjects and Senders. The second one is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1297871
But these no longer work. I am using Thunderbird 91.4.1 on MacOS 11 (Big Sur), with a 3072x1920 Retina display, and the text of the whole program is very small. It seems from what I have read that TB no longer uses CSS files to control the size of the text.
The Preferences provides a way for me to make the emails that I write larger, and any font that I want, but I can't find anything to set the size of the text in the program and its controls.
Can someone please help me increase the size of the text of the information about the emails that the program displays.

You mentioned the link where I had posted information on how to enlarge all font in Thunderbird via Preferences > General > Config Editor
It has been reported that the settings I advised work very well on Windows OS, but some people with MAC have reported it does not seem to effect anything. Some MAC users reported it worked but they had to use a much higher number.
I have a 28 inch screen - pixel resolution 1920 x1080 You mention MAC is using 3072x1920 So there is a big difference. You would need to use a higher number just to see a font size change as you have more pixels per square inch. Your pixel size is a lot smaller than mine. Probably explains why a MAC has traditionally been prefered by designers eg: CAD users.
You can still use CSS to control font size, but it is just so much easier to use one setting to effect all rather than use css to specify different sections.

Actually, I have been able to make the text bigger in all programs by changing the text size of the display via the apple menu and the System Preferences, as described at mcmw.abilitynet.org.uk/how-make-text-larger-macos-11-big-sur
So that has solved the problem for me. Others may find this interesting.
