All I want to do is to put a Firefox Mobile bookmark for a specific web page on my Android home screen. This should be trivial, but unfortunately the site supports PWA/A2HS, so the "Add to Home Screen" option goes missing and gets replaced with the inferior and frustrating "Install" option in the main menu.

What's wrong with PWA (Progressive Web App) / A2HS (ironically named Add2HomeScreen)? Using this Install option, the site opens 1) to a main page and NOT the page I bookmarked, and 2) without the ability for me to get to any of the Firefox menus. This makes it utterly worthless for the actual use case of adding a link to the home screen.

How can I either 1) get the Add to Home Screen option to always display regardless of if the site supports PWA/A2HS, or 2) Prevent Firefox from even recognizing PWA/A2HS sites?

There should be readily available options in Firefox to prevent this situation, but I can't find one.
