double emails appearing in POP inbox
upgraded to last version of thunderbird. 102.1.0 everything was fine until now. well yeah, the multicolour icons are a bit "stressful" to the eyes for me who prefers dark themes and really the new version of the contacts list as a TAB is BIG pain in the butt.
however the most annoying is the double inboxed emails. SOME, not all emails, appear twice! an exact copy! sending works, receiving works, however at random points i get 2 copies of the same email from random ( ? ) senders.

Please post your results when version 102.1.1 comes out in a couple days
not there yet... 102.1.2 version now and updating to 102.2.0. the emails are somehow less but not gone. before if i received 20mails from 20 people, it would double them, and show me 40. now if i get 20 mails i have 21 or 22. only one or two will be double.
p.s. the new layout, makes things harder to process. and has a few minor bugs as well...
pop account or imap?
well, pop because i always like to keep a copy of my emails just in case. the mail server i use has like 1gb storage. i download all and backup the profile.
new version... notice how its the exact same sender.... i get email 1 email 2 and then two copies of email 3...
reached now 102.2.1 (32-bit). also added the account on a whole different computer. fresh setup as well. same thing. random emails appear double. on computer A i get 112345566788 on computer B i get 1234456778 its totally random.
George, please try https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/candidates/102.2.2-candidates/build1/win64/en-US/Thunderbird%20Setup%20102.2.2.exe - take the defaults when installing so that it installs on top of your currrent thunderbird program directory.

It would be great to hear your results.
ok.... i was waiting for you guys and you were waiting on me.... still there as you can see. totally random.. white out parts are just sensitive data emails - names etc..

Are you now on version 102.3.0 ?
different computer, different thunderbird same account, same settings.
practically half are double. the pop3 service i use though does not have duplicates stored. in a test account locally in outlook this does NOT happen

well thats what it says.... 102.3.0 32bit currently on the release update channel...
