Mary, Here are the steps: - start Thunderbird with your new profile that has no addresses, the one where you want the addresses to be - click tools>import>import from a file>import addressbook>SQLITE database - in next window, navigate to the desired abook.sqlite file and click OK. - Thunderbird will prompt on whether you want the addresses to be added to Personal Addresses (the default) or to Collected Addresses. Click your preference and press Enter key - The addresses will then be imported into your profile.

For the future, I encourage you to do tools>export periodically so that you will have a backup in case of future problems.
