I know there are instructions on how to copy certain folders from the old computer to the new one, but I have a slightly different question. I removed the hard drive from the old computer and have it in a case where I can now attach the old drive via a USB connection, to the new computer. If I were to copy the entire C: partition from the old computer to the new one, would that take care of getting all the Thunderbird folders where they need to be on the new computer? I pretty much need to do this anyway for all my other non-Thunderbird folders.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Probably not, because the user id on new pc is probably different. THe default location of profile is at C;\users\<yourid>\appdata\roaming\thunderbird Also, if thunderbird is installed afterwards, it may overwrite what you did. I suggest install thunderbird first and then copy the ...appdata\roaming\thunderbird folder to then overlay the installed default ....appdata\roaming\thunderbird folder.
