In the VIEW of the MENU TOOLBAR I turned off the Menu Toolbar. I cannot get it back. Close and reload do not get it back. Power off and loading Firefox does not restore it. I can not find anywhere by right or left clickicking on the Firefox window to be able to restore it. Prior to hiding it I hid the Navagation Toobar. I can not get it back either. I plan to reload Firefox to resolve the problem soon.

Hit the Alt key to show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.

I tried several variations of the suggestion. Does the _Alt_ just mean just [Alt] or is it a combination I did not understand? Is it the [Alt] key only as I guessed? or shifted spaces with Alt in between? I tried both and tried using: [Shift] [Alt], [Alt] with the [right] or [left] mouse button. Then [Ctrl]. Then [Ctrl] then [Alt] and [Ctrl] + [Alt] all with no success… -----------------

Note. Success. The following info on what I did. I went back to the browser. There were only two tool bars showing, all others being closed.

1. The Window bar with the FireFox logo on the left, on the right the buttons that adjust or close the window. 2. Yahoo Mail.

I tried multiple combinations of [Alt] on both those bars. No response. I tried using [Shift], also [Ctrl], also [right] and [left] mouse clicks in various combinations. I started to get a new, different menu with [left] mouse clicks. The menu would vanish before it could be read, like mouse clicking the file button while holding down the [Alt] key cause it to flash and vanish. That menu was the menu for a left mouse click on the Yahoo Mail tab. I never clicked on the Yahoo Mail tab. It came up from the top windows bar, or a position to the right of the Yahoo tab. Next I hit on the [Alt] key and the Menu bar came up, as it should. Then it vanished again. After a few more presses of the [Alt] key and it stabilized, and stayed displayed. I went to [View] and selected the menu bar. No more problem.

This has only happened since the last update of FireFox. It has happened several times. Previously, reloading Win XP has fixed it.

I have played with it since opening, hoping to learn a best solution for next time. Suggestion:

1. Your first screen suggestion said hit _Alt_ key… It did not work.

2. This screen I am working on says: Hit the Alt key to show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark. It is easier to read and understand than the _Alt_ was on the previous screen was.

It was not sufficient, and did not produce the desired result. It is working but is now intermittent. Meaning sometimes the [Alt] key works to toggle the display of the Menu Bar, sometimes not.

3. Try this: Hit Alt+V [Alt]+[V] does bring up the closed menu bar. I brings it up with the [View] menu opened. I do not know if it was also disabled while just [Alt] was not working. I hope I do not have a repeat and need to find out. I hope I remember if it does.

I hope the above was of use. Thanks for your program, mostly I enjoy it.

Try to press the F10 key to see if that brings back the menu bar if pressing Alt doesn't bring the Menu Bar up.
