"Firefox has stopped working" error on starting. Even safe mode and profile manager dialog boxes crash on starting.
I changed my proxy settings at work today, and came home to find Firefox unable to open - it gives me an "Firefox has stopped working" message each time and quits instantly upon starting. I can't even access the profile manager or safe mode startup - they quit with a "Stopped Working" dialogue box instantly they start as well so I'm unable to use safe more or try creating a new profile. Uninstalling and reinstalling has had no effect - help, firefox is currently completely useless, and I can't get in to try changing any settings to fix it!

Are you using yahoo massenger 11? I have this problem too. Now i'm using win7 64 bit, i installed the newest firefox 6.0.2 and i got this problem. First time i think this is a firefox's error. I decide to use process hacker (a mini tool to manager running process) to find out what is happening and i found this: the program name "YahooMessger!.exe" run a few second and it calls the firefox crash popup lol. I uninstall the firefox and i see "YahooMessger!.exe" auto run in process hacker! ^^ conclusion: i uninstall Yahoo Messenger 11 and delete two folder of yahoo in my username's document (1 of them have the program "YahooMessger!.exe"), reinstall firefox and get out this problem!
So my question is: what is "YahooMessger!.exe", is it a yahoo's part, is it a spyware or virus?
