I am unable to install firefox via Internet Explorer

I had a problem when launching firefox this morning. I have now uninstalled it and am attempting to re-install via IE. When I click on the 'Download' button I get an error saying IE cannot find the site and to try later. This has been happening for some time now and I seem unable to re-load Firefox.

Try downloading it from here - http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6.10/win32/en-US/

This is the English-US Windows version of Firefox 3.6.10

Thanks for the reply - but still having same problem. IE Error Message says that IE cannot download file from mozilla\releases.org etc. ....IE was unable to open this internet site.

Have uninstalled Firefox and also removed any remnants of it from 'My Programs' Any further help would be greatly appreciated.

tjb author, how did you solve your problem of getting around it i still cant figure out a solution.
