Why is it when I hit my back button right under the File button and it lists my previous site choices, does it list the current site I'm on maybe 6 times before it lists my previous site despite my having only been at the current site for a short while?

If I right click on the back button it shows the site I'm currently on and the previous ones recently. Lately it shows the site I'm currently on repeatedly, perhaps 6 times, so if I were to only hit the back button it "goes back" to the site I'm currently on and I could do this repeatedly and never get anywhere until it goes through the list and finally getting to an actual different previous site? The back and forward arrowed buttons right below the File and Edit choices at the top. For example, if I were on reddit.com and reading a particular article, if I were to right click the back arrow it would show the site with that article a number of times and at finally the actual previous sites. If I were to left click the back button I wouldn't actually go to a different site but the same site, one down the list. If I were to left click the back button enough times I would finally get to a previous site but not by only left clicking the back button once. Its as if it adds whatever site I'm at to a list determined by how long I've been there rather than just once for being there only once.

Some pages are designed to refresh at regular intervals. Depending on how they do this, it might or might not add a new page to your history. If this is a recent change on reddit.com, you might mention it to them.
