When I right click on an image in my browser, I can select "view image" and the image by itself will pop up in a new tab. This still works for most image formats, but has stopped working with the jpg format. Say I go to google's home page, right click on their logo, and select view image. Since their logo is not in jpg format, the logo image will appear in a new tab, and the URL will show the location of that image (in this case, http://www.google.com/images/logos/ps_logo2a_cp.png) When I try to do this with an image in jpg format, it asks me what I want to do, and gives me the options: 1 - Save file 2 - Open with windows photo viewer 3 - Open with (other) In trying to make it work right, I selected "open with other" and selected firefox. This almost works how it used to work, it opens up the image in a new tab... but now, instead of showing the URL of the source image, it shows the location of the file on my computer. So for example, if I go to tinypic.com and find the jpg image (http://i56.tinypic.com/nd9d75.jpg). If I right click on that image and select "view image", it opens by itself in a new tab as it should, except the address bar displays (file:///C:/Users/Joe/AppData/Local/Temp/nd9d75-3.jpg) instead of it's web URL. Does anyone know why this is happening? And/or how I can get firefox's behavior to go back to how it used to work for jpg's in this capacity, like it does for other image formats?
