Firefox 4 will not update it reverts back version 3.6 ? What do I need to do ?

I have tried to uninstall version 3.6 and then run the 4.0 update but nothing seems to work. I can run the 3.6 but it keeps asking me to update to 4.0.I would appreciate any answer to this problem.that you can supply.

You posted with a Firefox 4 user agent, so it appears that you did update successfully.

  • Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden, so you need to hide the Menu bar to get the new appearance.
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.
You can also place the Tab Bar on top.

  • View > Toolbars : [ ] Menu Bar
  • View > Toolbars : [X] Tabs on Top
