Every time I open an email in Mircrosoft Outlook, Firefox tries to download files which lead nowhere, and I end up on each and every email having to cancel the attempted firefox dowload
Each and every email I open in Outlook creates a firefox download file which I have to cancel as it leads nowhere as I have tried to follow it and see if it leads anywhere. I have tried chat and sat on chat for 45 minutes, then get disconnected. Before removing Firefox and going back to Explorer which I hate I wanted to see if this can be solved, only started with 3.6 and I upgraded to 4.0 and problem is still there

I had the same problem. The fix is to go Oulook. Under "View" turn off "People Pane". That's all it takes problem went away.
