Hello Firefox

My lap top had a malwear attack which has been cleared but it has shut down 90% of the operating software. I need to move my files on outlook express so my lap top can be cleaned and xp professional reloaded but Outlook Express makes it difficult. If I load Firefox will it copy/transfer the files from outlook express automatically on to firefox? If this is possible then I can change to firefox and use you as my operating system in future so I do not have this problem again. hope you can help Simon

Outlook Express is an email client while Firefox is only a browser. The latter can be used to view sites for which there are links in an email, but there's no method available to transfer the links automatically to the browser.

There's a Mozilla email client called Thunderbird. Maybe you can use that instead. See: http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/home

Sorry to hear that. When you get going again, download these freeware versions:

You can update Avast antivirus automatically, but you have to update the other one manually.

It goes without saying of course that you should run regular scans. Also, if you download anything, right click the file and choose "Scan with...." and choose either or both of them to make sure there aren't any suprises hidden in the file.
